Sculptra® helps your body produce more collagen by injecting a synthetic material, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), into the deep dermis. This material, commonly used in dissolvable sutures, is easily broken down by the body with no residual material left at the injection site.
PLLA stimulates the body’s natural healing process, promoting collagen synthesis in the dermis. Collagen supports the skin’s structure, enhancing elasticity and hydration. Since collagen production declines starting in our late 20s, Sculptra® helps to revitalize this natural process, gradually replacing lost collagen for long-lasting volume and firmness.

Unlike traditional fillers that instantly plump the skin, Sculptra® works gradually over several weeks. Since the treatment stimulates natural collagen production, the results appear soft, natural, and not overfilled. A series of approximately three treatments is typically required, spaced over a few months, to achieve optimal volume and contour. Because of this gradual process, patients can determine how much volume they are comfortable with as their results evolve.
Sculptra® lasts longer than traditional fillers, with results lasting up to two years.
